This is actually a very very common occurrence on older cars, especially with bugs dying inside the dome lights. I’ve been lucky enough to avoid bugs but there are smudges and even specks of dust on the other side of my clear plastic, so if you find a solution, l et me know. I think the insect egg is there before production and eventually the car gets built around it. How old is this car?

Hmm maybe the egg slipped in afterwards or possibly conditions were just right. All we know is they can strike at any moment.
